It's been a crazy couple days trying to figure out what to do with the blog. I've already managed to move EVERYTHING from this blog over to Wordpress with one simple action (thanks Anonymous for the tip!)
However now I'm reading about how Wordpress is pretty strict about their nudity as well! Such a pain in the butt. I don't want to get my hopes up with Wordpress and then have them shut me down all over again cause of nudity.
Like I said in my last post, I had also made a Tumblr page just to test it out and wasn't too keen on the results. But it seems like a lot of other bloggers are making the switch to Tumblr. Tumblr is lacking any sort of Dashboard and statistics but I figure I'll give it a shot.
Check it out here http://megatheswitchhitter.tumblr.com/
I've added a few old caps and three NEW ones for fun. Check them out, view, comment, all that stuff. Then I can get an appropriate reaction to how feedback and page views are tracked on tumblr. :)
Thanks guys, hope we can make it through all this craziness.
You can use statcounter. it installs on your page and gives you all the statistics you would want.
ReplyDeleteI recommend tumblr. It's optimized for pictures yet plays well with text.
ReplyDeleteI also recommend Tumblr, once my blog falls prey to the alienation Blogger's forcing on us... I'll be moving over there as well.
ReplyDeleteI might be able to host your Wordpress Site on my own webspace, with your own domain (www.swapping-grounds.com or something)
ReplyDeleteAll for free of course, I love your captions and I guess thats some kind of giving you something back for your great work.

Someone else moved to Tumblr too, so maybe that's best.
ReplyDeleteIm confused
ReplyDeletei have not had a message about the new rules for my blog ? Just finished a load of caps too
Whats the script SwitchHitter
With tumblr get the extension xkit. It helps with managing a lot of what you would need. There isn't a view counter but on your page itself (not the dash) you can get an html code to see it on your own site.

ReplyDeleteGoogle is doing au-turn on their decision... Things are staying as is

This is very interesting but I can't help but be concerned with the last line of the article. "This consequently means that bloggers are allowed to share sexually explicit content as long as they own it and they have the legal permissions required to post it."
DeleteA tad ambiguous that sentence. We all have a diclaimer on our blogs saying we don't own the pictures but we own the writing
Deletebut its always been in the T&C's about having to own the stuff for ages
