Could you do a sequel or maybe even a series on this where Jerry goes to lunch with his mom pretending to be Carol. After lunch his soul is rejected but he likes it so much he either keeps going back to her body or finds a way to make it permanent. If he makes it permanent then it doesn't kick her soul out but combines them. Just an idea.
