Cool story, yet it doesn't feel done. Does he take the skull and leave the kinght/maiden? Using the Knight's body and the skull who else does he swap? The king? The queen? So many future possibilities.
Always enjoy your fantasy captions. Quite often have I wanted to have adventures like that when playing various fantasy games. Nice to get to experience them in this way.
