The swaps aren't always 1 for 1, so the original alice might have traded up only a few years for some money until a few years reaches the grandmas previous age, or might person just gave up living a lot of life for a lot of money.
Out of curiousity, is there a stasis for consciousness for when someone trades in their body, but theres no body to go into? OR a virtual reality they exist in
That would kinda fit with a personal head cannon of mine where, someone is utilizing the virtual reality, say a sister to visit her friends but her entire concsciousness exists within it, leaving her body empty and her brother, while she is in there, takes control of her body in the real world and takes it for a spin.
Finding out your mother was in the body of someone you were attracted to and had amazing sex with would suck.
Finding out your dad now had to deal with his mom in the body of someone he had banged is hilarious.
Poor family, half of them find the situation amazing, the Katherine half just awful. I am curious to see how they adjust. Grandma is no longer a blood related member of the family afterall
an interesting idea but I see the Mutual Body Exchange Program as a respectable business where people come to change lives. I dont think they'd allow someone to use another person's body while the original owner was "under."

Cool story and concept. I like the fact that it usually isn't a 1 to 1 swap. That gives all kinds of flexibility.
