Wasn't planning on making an epilogue but this was a commission someone requested so you can thank them lol :) There are a few other series I've promised to add conclusions to but moving forward I'd like to keep Ko-fi and Patreon commissions separate from already ongoing series. I understand the desire to pay to get something completed but there's reasons I've left some of them open and don't want to force myself to come up with something, ya know? Just a friendly heads up!

Patreon Upgrades!

So I've been listening to a lot of the feedback from Patreon supporters and those of you on the fence about joining so I made some changes.

Basically, I've changed it so that instead of the One Exclusive Cap a week it's now TWO.

To break it down a bit for you so you know what to expect.

-Tuesdays and Thursdays will be the Two Exclusive Patreon caps for ALL Tiers. That way between Patreon and here at the Swapping Grounds you'll be getting caps every day Mon-Fri.

-Exclusive Bonus caps for Switchers and Traders.These will be caps that were either commissioned from Patreon and Ko-fi (per the requesters permission of course!) and other caps I feel like sharing. These will be posted on weekends mostly or sometimes randomly during the week as a nice little surprise. It's just more caps which is what you all want lol

-Other things of note. For polls and such I plan on having some interactive posts where I'll post a cap here on Swapping Grounds but then Switcher and Trader tier will be able to vote on how the next cap plays out. Choices in who swaps with who etc.

-The biggest question I get is when I'll open more slots for Traders. As of now I have no clue. I really don't want to over promise because those commissions take up a lot of time. Since we just started a new month at 15 people I'll see how December pans out and then decide where to take it from there.

Some people have asking for a new $20 tier which I'll keep in consideration but no promises. I wouldn't even know what to add at this point so I'm open to hearing any suggestions for what kind of stuff people would want to see.

So yeah just wanted to give you all an update!

 Just wanted to thank everyone who has helped support me in this journey through Patreon. It really means the world to me. I know the top tier went pretty fast and there's still people interested so I'm going to see what I can do. I just need to make sure I don't overwork myself :)

For now I'm still working out some kinks and might make some adjustments or add a new tier or something. Still up in the air! I want to strike that balance of posting here regularly while adding extra bonus for the Patreons. I was expecting the lowest tier to be the most popular and that's just not the case at all. Seems you all like having more caps. Who would've thought! *bonks head*

 The Patreon is now live as you can see from the shiny red button in the top right! Please feel free to become a subscriber only if you can. Do not feel obligated.

Caps will be posted here Mon, Wed, and Fri. This change was going to happen regardless of Patreon or not because of the change in life and schedule. All donations help make this a viable thing to do in my free time which means more caps! Patreon supporters will get a few extra caps a week depending on the tier.

And for those that know how I operate, I some times go on capping sprees so could end up posting on here more than 3 times a week. Ya never know.

Just a brief update to let you know current plans. I'm having a blast with all the commission requests that are flooding in. You have no idea. It's the perfect distraction from the real world and, as those of you asking for them can tell, I'm churning them out pretty fast. Escaping reality into this fantasy world helps keep me sane.

So I wanted to be as transparent as possible and let you know where my head is right now. Weekends I'm basically going to be in "family mode" cuz that's when Im needed the most so very little work will get done in that time. I mentioned on the Ko-fi page that commission could take a week or so. Obviously they've been coming at ya fast but I say a week or so just to be safe. ;)

I'm still annoyed by the removal of the links. Once the buttons were taken off the blog almost all donations faded (not counting commission.) Which I expected cause no one can see it lol Can't help if ya don't know it's there! 

So will there be a Patreon in the future? Most likely cuz it would be nice to have something sturdy coming in with subs. There's no commission options for Patreon which really sucks so I ask you all. What kind of stuff would you be interested in with Patreon bonus? I think the basic tier would just be those supporting this blog, next tier up would be 1 or 2 Patreon only caps with polls and such, and then something special for the big guns who want to throw down something more. Leave some idea in the comments.

Posting caps on here will probably be Mon-Thursday or space them out 3 or 4 a week. Weekend will be off cause it's best I just not really think about remembering to post.

So the Ko-fi is live again but that's because I had to take the links off of the blog lol Apparently I can't even link to them because this site is NSFW.

Which sucks but I'm just glad it's back up. I'll have to think about how to proceed going forward because this is so disappointing to me. I was on cloud nine with all the donations that came in and the commissions and then it all came crashing down. (I think I've got 2 more to be caught up so those waiting don't worry! I wasn't very productive yesterday for obvious reasons.) Now I can't even link you to the very website used to donate.

While I decide what to do I'm still going to leave it up obviously. Commission are LIVE again for those of you that have the link. I'd suggest if you want to donate to to so as the one time option and not monthly subscription since the future of K-fi is uncertain. For those who already paid for monthly I'll understand if you want to stop since I can't offer any bonuses anymore but if you continue it will just help me fuel the blog. I've already added about 20 new caps to my backlog from the ego boost I got the past few days haha. I will of course give a heads up if I jump to Patreon or something.

Other news, because of a gracious donor I'll have updates to finish off Better You Than Me and Couples Game Night series soon. At least one will be within the next week or so because I don't want to rush them and make sure they're something special. Wanted to get that out there cause I know a few of you asked to donate for me to finish those lol Someone has done it for you! lol

I love the idea of commission through Ko-fi because it allows me to chat with you guys and make you what you need. I don't think I'll have an option for that if I switch to Patreon but time will tell.

My apologies if you're trying to get on the Kofi- page and it's not showing up. I got flagged for posting adult content. It's super frustrating but I've since removed the two caps i posted on there and changed my NSFW banner. I also realized I had a link to the blog here and they don't like links to NSFW stuff either so I removed that as well and resubmitted my request.

I got out most of the commissions and there's still a few that need to be done so I'll get to those as soon as I can. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Once this is fixed I'll have to reevaluate. It can still be used for donating and commissions once live again but I guess i won't be able to post caps on it which isn't a huge deal really. 

I'll keep you posted.

This is the last of this series for now. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I had fun writing these. Will leave it opened ended for next year.

I wanted to say thanks again for everyone reaching out on my Ko-fi. I got flooded with commissions and had to keep increasing the number available! It's nice being able to go at my own pace. Once I did 5 commissions I opened it back up for another 5 and so on. So if you see there are zero available keep checking back!

Ko-Fi and the Future of Swapping Grounds

 Thank you everyone who reached out with kind words and suggestions either via email or on my past post. The outpouring of kindness was a lot for me to take in. I'm not used to that kind of treatment so thank you.

I decided to go with Ko-Fi per several people suggestions. It's less stressful in terms of hitting monthly goals and more of a fancy tip jar! I've added a donate button to the bottom of the page and a link to the actual Ko-Fi page itself in the top right of the blog. The link itself will take you to the content that's unlocked for those who donate.

I will not paywall anything that's already been posted on the blog such as any currently ongoing series and the like (Our Son The Switcher, Couples Game Night etc.) There will most like being Ko-Fi specific series that donors can view first and then sometime down the line will be posted here on the regular blog.

As of now I only have it set for donations. A minimum of $2 and it can be upped to however much you're willing to spare. Once I figure out how all this works I will open up more options such as commissions (those will be a select few a month as I don't want to overwhelm myself. Maybe start at 5 a month and see how that goes) and possibly monthly subs for those interested. I'd have to think of special treats for you all to get in return for your kindness :) There's lots of bells and whistles on this site and I'm excited to explore all the options it has.

One cap has already been added so far. For those who donate let me know if you have any issues seeing it or not.

I'll have to decide on a posting schedule for both on here and the Ko-Fi page but most likely it will start with 4-5 caps here on Swapping Grounds and 1 extra cap on Ko-Fi. That can change if I get into a rhythm. I've already started working on a backlog.

Update on the Blog

 So a few weeks ago I posted about how I was having personal issues and wasn't sure how it would effect the blog going forward. You probably couldn't tell cause there was little down time and only a few days missed but it looks like things have gotten worse.

I'm not going to go into great detail so all I'll say is it's a family issue, it really sucks, and I need to be around to take care of someone.

I'm trying to think of how I want to move forward. The plan is to continue the blog as I always have and try not to let much change. I'll most likely start working from home more to help care for my family. However financially we're in a really shitty situation.

I've never, ever wanted to do caps for money. Ever. It was always just for fun and I liked doing it. Many of you know this because you would offer to pay me for requests and stuff and I always turn you down. It just didn't feel right. I never put ads on the site because I wanted it to stay pure. But now I've got real world problems and a massive audience of fans.

So I may set up a Paypal or something. I really don't know I'm still trying to decide what to do. A Patreon seems like a stretch cause A) I don't know much about it and B) I don't want to force myself into some monthly subscription deal and then something happens down the line and I can't deliver, ya know?

Again, I would post like I normally do. I don't want to alienate everyone who got me to where I am now. But maybe have the link available for people who want to donate or throw money towards a personal request for me to make or some bonus caps for the week. Who knows. This is still in the spitballing stage.
