I like this concept because it has the changes be temporary and that is what distinguishes it from other body swap universes like the great shift, minor shift, etc. I think the sciencists knowing all the metrics is a little much; but you could make plots before this while they were learning. You could even make them at various times while they were still working out all the parameters. For instance, maybe they first learned to ID individuals involved, then duration, etc. Putting each piece of the puzzle together. It would open it up to people retuning into different lives since the other person thought it may be permanent etc. The best aspect is its uniqueness of temporality.
Love this concept. Especially since people know it’s temporary so there will be people like this who are respectful and others who will destroy the persons life. Could have spin off mini series of someone saying screw it and doing whatever they want like a homeless person for instance. Lots of possibilities and great scenarios.
This idea could be used for all kinds of fun stories. For example: 1. A couple end up getting married when they meet because they swap with each other. 2. A guy in a girls body is arrested for poisoning his body right before the swap. Killing the girl and letting him keep her body 3. The government figures out how to cause 2 people to become RSI and uses it for all kinds of purposes 4. Siblings swap 5. Pro-Athlete and slob 6. Mobster in jail with the DA who put him there
